The Golden State

I'm convinced we can make any vacay golden.  Attempting not to miss work, Mac and I flew out late Friday afternoon to San Francisco, while Matt flew out the day before to do business.  Naturally what should be a 2 hour flight took us about 8 hours of travel time (flight through phoenix, delayed flights)... and to top it off, poor baby Mac got REALLY sick.  Alas... we toughed it out by going to gardens and museums, eating great food, and taking naps.
Mac was definitely the cool kid among kids.  They both wanted to be his friend.
This cherub baby makes my heart melt into a pool of mushy goo.  He couldn't breath through his nose, so he kept his mouth open.  But seriously.  Gorgeous little infant of love.
We totally overdid it with our photography at the Japanese Tea Gardens, and we'll continue to redo it by posting them to the world on our blog (my mom).  Who cares.  We had a blast.
Thug life
"you talkin' 'bout me?"

Legion of Honor museum was a nice little museum of European painting, sculpture, home wares, etc... all in a gorgeous building atop a hill overlooking the bay.  We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves until Mac started throwing his head back and doing an arch... poor dude needed a 10 hour nap to combat that cold.  We did what we could.
Where's the skateboard?
Post 8 hours of travel with a sick infant at the Hotel Monaco.
And still more...

The hair kills me

Unbelievable meal at a restaurant with Red in it, whose name has escaped me.  Seriously out of this world.  We read Peek-a-boo to pass the time.

Crab and shrimp melts, cioppino deliciousness, and a salad of the gods.
Tired angel out for french food.  The owner kissed and hugged Mac, and gave us the perfect seat (he said) for the little one.

Exploratorium rocked our worlds.  There were so many fun interactive things to do for kids and adults alike.

I guess my nose and hands are cold, while Matt reminds ON FIRE.  No one's surprised.
What's the ending to a trip without burgers, fries, and fresh strawberry shakes?  Take me back.
