Bienvenidos a Puerto Rico y Miami

Ahhh Travel.  Heaven.

It seems like life itself is nothing but a juggling act these days.  A wonderful, interesting, new, stressful, momentous... juggling act.  Having a week with just the three of us was nice.  It was more than nice, it was special.  Here are a few pics (if 100+ means few) that documented our good times.  Think beach, culture, food, snuggles, deep sea fishing, pools, and just plain time together.  And for the record, Mac was a champion traveler - guess he better get used to it.

Mac's waving - deliberately - in this picture.  He really does wave.  It's a slow thoughtful wave, but he'll do it in response to another.

The Gallery Inn in Old Town San Juan

From old town San Juan we headed to the Ritz Carlton Dorado.  I want to live there.  Really.  Indoor/ outdoor showers, private plunge pool, ocean 20 paces away, and awesome room service.  But seriously, I want to live there.  Truly.  And I didn't even mention the spa...

Staying hydrated at the spa

Don't let his smile deceive you - he hated it.  It was hot.  He's a little too small for it.  And he was tired.  Bad combination.

12 course dinner at Mi Casa.  Divine.

Did I mention that I wanted to live here?  Chocolate croissants, fresh squeeze orange juice, jamon serrano, kinder coffee (hot chocolate), and.... and... and...

The service was unbelievable.  The staff brought out a pack n'play while we were at the pool so Mac could nap.  It started raining and they rushed over umbrellas.  They found us toys for the pool.  We hated every minute of it.

Precious little toes.

Bioluminescent Bay - with glowing plankton.  Bucket list item, check... seriously magical.
The ceviche from this little food cart was divine.
El Yunque National Rain Forest was completely stunning.  With only a few short hours to spend, we cruised some waterfalls, went on a quick hike, and appreciated the unbelievable landscape.

Then, it was off to Miami
This little deep sea fisherman has his game face on

Tuna

Tuna and kingfish that we both caught
Our blackened and breaded king fish that we caught, cooked up at the local grill.  SALIVATING thinning about it... so delish.

Our ginormous pool at the Viceroy Hotel

Have you ever seen a more stunning spa?  Wish we could've spent some time there - though it proved challenging with a wee one.  Albeit a very cute, chubby, sweet wee one.

Biscuits, honey butter, and fresh jam from Yard Bird... I dream about you.
Banana Cream Pie

Plum tuckered

The end.
