Je t'aime!

Leave Matt in charge of anything and you know it's going to be fabulous.  Valentine's Day was in Matt's court this year... I'm a lucky girl... just sayin'.
I woke up to the smell of bacon.  clearly it was going to be a superlative day.  Yes, the heart shaped waffles have homemade caramel/bananas foster on them - and the fresh squeezed orange juice (that Matt squeezed himself) is not pictured.
My other valentine - I'm pretty sure he's begging for food in this picture.
The man at work making a delicious sauce for the pasta
crab. shrimp. sun-dried tomatoes. grilled peppers. wine sauce. garlic. lemon. seriously.
Smoked tomato bisque  - sorry about the poor picture, I couldn't stop eating long enough to take a beautiful picture.  Fortunately the lovely Ginger Jones was able to join us in this delicious Valentine's Day feast.
Heart Shaped Raspberry Napoleons... mmmm
And of course to put everything over the top, we finished with a chocolate tasting from around the world.  Ginger and Matt were big fans of Peru, I liked Belgium, with Switzerland in a close second.  But come one... they were all good.  It's chocolate.
On Feb. 13 we were able to set up Valentine's Day with a production of Romeo and Juliet by the Denver Center Theatre Company.  We were fortunate enough to be a part of the director's society evening which consisted of a cocktail party, a lovely production of the play, and dinner afterwards - with the actors being interviewed on stage.  Super fun.
There were many V-day treats at work... the sugar consumption is endless.
