October has arrived and is in full force at the Jones household! Beginning October 1 we busted out the Halloween decor creating the mood. Friday night we saw Halloween Dreams at The Vintage Theatre (not fabulous, but decent and local, small scale, live theatre is always fun!). Saturday we did some Halloween home decor shopping, then to the Wizard's Chest for costume ideas. Following which we cruised to the Harvest Festival - which consisted of opportunities to make your own scarecrow, hayrides, a pumpkin patch, stilt walking, sack races, kissing booths and lots of delicious Fall treats (kettle corn, home made root beer, apple cinnamon donuts, etc...).

Our own kissing booth.
That night I helped Natalie and some of her friends get ready for homecoming, then Matt, Joni, Christine and I watched Poltergeist.
Below are a bunch of our Halloween decorations pictured...

The table setting with the new skeleton hands to protect our glasses.
We decorated our Halloween tree this evening, made of dead spray painted branches. Love those little baskets!!
The eyeball is always watching...

Devil apple cider dispenser, careful... it's hot.

I can't believe Natalie is in high school, none the less dating. Sweet decorations. HAve you guys always had a Halloween tree? Great idea. I might have to visit you guys before the big day because Kaylene has a hard time watching spooky movies and Laila only watches about 5 minutes of every movie; plus she's little. Still going with the ideas you shared at Sea world for Halloween? and are you guys going to new orleans that weekend?
Wow Matt and Candice, I would love to be your kid and grow up in your spooky house. When me and the boys go to Target Sean's favorite place to go is the halloween section to push all the buttons that make the witches scream and make the skeletons take their heads off. He thinks it's halarious. He would love your house. Miss you guys.
I love how much you guys love Halloween! Are you visiting any haunted hotels this year? Did I miss "hot chocolate day". I was going to steal your tradition but I think you do it in September.
Jonny-No, we aren't going to New Orleans as planned. I've been trying to cut down a few pounds and going to New Orleans would be couter productive in the food department. Sucks, we tried to go last Halloween but something is always spoiling our plans. Maybe next year.
Looking forward to seeing your costumes this year.
I know that Matt's costume doesn't involve stilts, but wish it did. There's something about evil turn-of-the-century carnies that just gives me the willies.
